last minute Easter celebration
I just found out yesterday that we are hosting Easter Sunday (change of plans). While I absolutely love entertaining, I am still in spring break mode and not at all prepared to have family over. I stayed calm because I know I’ve got this!
After emailing with my family and assigning dishes for everyone to bring, I felt much better. That is always my tip for entertaining: accept help! People love to contribute and it takes some of the pressure off. Besides, I don’t need to be a control freak! .
I saw this recipe on a recent episode of The Pioneer Woman and decided Easter was the perfect time to try this out. Don’t these “funeral potatoes” look amazing?? The picture doesn’t even do them justice, you need to watch the episode!
I knew I’d have to get planning right away and I didn’t want to overcomplicate things. Naturally, I turned to Pinterest. 😉 Here are a couple of decor ideas for Easter~
I get so much use out of my Pottery Barn flax linen table runner, and it’s a perfect neutral to add accessories. I even used it last Christmas! I diy’ed some wooden chargers, so I’ll go for the look shown below, but probably with more pink, purple, blue tones.
Here’s a shot from my son’s baptism celebration a couple of years ago. I might just pull out these white polka-dot table runners!
I always have mason jars and white candles on hand, and they seriously lend themselves to any occasion! If I can find the time in the next few days, I’ll try to make this adorable banner with my Cricut cutting machine!
I’ll be sharing how it all turned out, so be sure to follow my blog so you don’t miss the pictures!
And of course, if you have any other last minute party tips, send them my way! 🙂
