It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks around here! Last weekend we headed up to Lake Tahoe for the Fourth of July and it did not disappoint! The weather was perfect and we were up on the beach every day. I love how going up there immediately helps me disconnect from the hectic everyday life that we all experience. We had plenty of family time and naps! Here are a few pictures from our trip-

The first day we arrived it was a little smoky from the California fires, but it was still beautiful. This little boy constantly thinks about trains, so my brother drew tracks in the sand. He was busy for awhile!

The next morning we got up to watch the sunrise and it was unreal.

I got to cross paddle boarding off of my bucket list! I have wanted to do that forever in Tahoe, and we finally made it happen. I was a little nervous because we had been watching two women try to stand up in their paddle board for 30 minutes, but after I gained my balance I was fine. No wipeouts! 😉 Ben got a ride after I was confident that I wouldn’t fall. I definitely want to paddle board in Hawaii next!

We ended the holiday watching the fireworks show on the end of our pier and playing America music. It was a great weekend! Hope everyone else had a fun and safe Fourth!
