]]> Last Friday we took a day trip out to Amador County to see the daffodils at Daffodil Hill. It’s been on my bucket list for years, and I’ve never been able to make it- either because of work or bad weather that forces them to close early for the season. We’ve had a lot of rain this year but I was still hopeful. We made it out and it was worth the wait!

The drive took about an hour from our house, and it was so beautiful. The rolling hills are still green and it was the perfect day for a drive. When we arrived the farm kind of appeared out of nowhere, along with a bunch of people! Parking was a breeze and I didn’t have to push the stroller too far to get to the entrance. 

After we ate our sandwiches at the picnic tables it was time to explore, and Ben was in his element! I had no idea, but besides daffodils there are a bunch of animals! We saw the most gorgeous peacocks and there were chickens and donkeys. It was a little boy’s dream and he was running around having the time of his life. The farm is really quaint so I didn’t have to worry about him; it helped that I had family there too!

The main attraction for me though, was the flowers. They are absolutely beautiful! And they’re everywhere- along the gentle hills and in flower beds all over the place. It’s almost like something out of a dream, and I’m so glad I finally got to see it. We walked the paths and enjoyed the views. As you can see, it was a perfect day to be out! There were other people at the farm too, but it wasn’t overcrowded by any means. All of the people (I don’t know if they’re staff or the owners) were so helpful and friendly. I’m so thankful for beautiful places like this, and that we live so close!

If you ever get the chance to visit Daffodil Hill, take it! The drive and the effort are worth it. I know I won’t forget it!
