distressed denim jacket, top, jeans (old Loft, similar here), sandals
I don’t know about you, but a denim jacket is one of my go-to pieces in my wardrobe during the warmer months! I love how versatile they are. You can wear them with pretty much anything! As a teacher, a denim jacket was always easy to grab and wear over a dress at work or with ankle pants. It’s comfy and casual, but a denim jacket also finishes off an outfit. I love to throw a denim jacket over a fancy dress and it instantly makes it everyday.
When I saw this distressed denim jacket at Old Navy, I was in love. I have two denim jackets already, but not a distressed one. I waited for a sale (see my Old Navy buys here) and then got it for about $20, which is a great buy in my book! The color and distressing are perfect and good quality for the price. I did end up exchanging the XS for a small, as it’s pretty fitted.
I hope you aren’t tired of this denim jacket or my new favorite sandals, because you’ll probably be seeing a lot of them

similar top for $11!, similar jacket, jeans, sandals, clutch
I am so excited spring is here and love all the pastels, but I also love this black floral top. It’s a little “edgier” take on a floral and it’s nice to switch it up. This top is from Forever 21, a store I have a love/hate relationship with. I love finding pieces like this top for next to nothing, and it’s a great place to go for trendy items. I hate it because sometimes the store is so disorganized it’s tough to find anything, or you only find one and it’s not your size! Case in point: I can’t find this exact top online, but I’ve linked a bunch of similar ones for less than $20 below. Whenever I go into Forever 21 I have to be ready to work, but sometimes it’s worth it to find great pieces without spending much! It’s definitely a store I mentally prepare to go into haha!
These sandals are a recent purchase and I am in love with them! They’re dupes for this crazy-expensive pair, but I don’t mind one bit because I’d never pay that much for sandals. They come in three different colors, and I chose this taupe because it seemed the most versatile. I’ve already worn them with a few outfits and a bunch of different colors and they look great. I know many people are scared of a heel, but these are super comfortable because of the wedge. The platform gives me some height but I was able to walk around all day just fine. I’d recommend these in a heartbeat if you’re looking for spring/summer sandals!
I hope you’re enjoying some sunshine today, happy Tuesday!

ruffle sleeve top, distressed jeans, laser-cut peep toe sandals, crossbody (recent DSW, similar here)
Today I’m sharing another top from Target- I can’t seem to go in there without finding a new piece of clothing! The Who What Wear line has so many great pieces, including this ruffle sleeve top. I loved the ruffle trend last winter and I’m happily wearing it into the warmer weather.
Jeans and a white tee are always a classic look, and this ruffle sleeve gives the look an update. You can never have too many white tees, but the sleeves give this one a special twist! The top is a tee shirt fabric, but the ruffle sleeves are a little stiffer, which I’m sure keeps them looking good.
As a teacher, most of the clothes I buy can do double duty, both at work and on the weekends. That’s part of why I started this blog, was to share different ways to wear things. This top looks great with jeans, but would also work tucked into a skirt with cute flats. At $20, it’s completely worth it!
I can’t forget to mention these adorable laser-cut peep toe sandals! I love a nude shoe and the detail on these is perfect for spring. They’re super comfortable (the whole outfit is!) and I am able to wear them all day, no problems. The weather is still all over the place here, but I’ll definitely be wearing these sandals with dresses soon.
A ruffle sleeve top and peep toe sandals are the perfect way to update the classic jean and tee look!
