Transitioning into Fall
Hi friends! With fall officially here, I thought it was fitting to do a little “how to” for this season. I’ve already read so many great tips from other bloggers I follow, but today I’ll be sharing my top 3 ways to transition your wardrobe into Fall. They’re all things I’ve been doing so I can show you real-life examples!
1. Booties–
Are you tired of hearing about booties, or are you obsessed with them like me?? This is the #1 way I’ve been wearing all of my summer dresses and bringing them up to speed for fall. Booties have become so popular this season and they are everywhere at all price points. I found one of my current favorites at Marshall’s for under $30! That’s a steal in my book.

Currently on my wish list- these booties from Sole Society in Chesnut. Love them! I’m still searching for the perfect pair of black booties, I’ll be sure to let you know when I find them 😉
2. Chunky cardigans and lightweight jackets
I’ve picked up these chunky cardigans recently, and love adding them to my outfits. Unfortunately, they come off by noon usually because it’s still so hot here in Sacramento! I’m looking forward to wearing them even more as the weather cools, and it’s supposed to this week!
I also make a summer outfit more fall appropriate by adding a denim jacket like this one, or a green military jacket like this one. I already have both of these in my wardrobe, so it’s an budget-friendly way to switch it up. And if you wear a denim jacket with booties, you’re good to go for fall!
3. Anything Bordeaux colored!
I am soooo obsessed with this color for fall! I could probably do an entire post dedicated to this (and maybe I will) but this color just screams fall. The obsession started in August when I found these beautiful lace up flats (below) at the NSale. It was love at first sight (and I got two colors, thinking about getting more :)).
Nail polish is also the perfect way to complement your wardrobe for fall. Bahama Mama & Dress to Kilt from Essie are my current faves.
Now go through your closet or get to shopping, and have fun dressing for fall! 🙂
